7days

Its rhythm

That’s where Plantempo starts. Then it learns this plant’s real rhythm from your local weather and a touch of the soil.

Its first two weeks, before it learns

A starting point. Every plant keeps its own rhythm, and that one is yours to set.

How to care for it

Water

Let the top 3 cm dry

Water every 7 days

Humidity

The more the better

Soil

Bark, no soil

Feeding

In summer, and little

Feed every 8 waterings, as its species asks.

Making more

By splitting the pot

Ease it out of its pot and split the root ball into clumps that each keep their roots. Pot them up: in Plantempo, each one joins your garden as a plant of its own.

WORTH KNOWING

Water it through the middle: a finger’s depth in its leaf cup, never full, changed weekly; rain or filtered water is best. In a cool room, keep the cup nearly dry. Soil barely damp: never a full cup and wet soil at once.

IF YOU WANT MORE

It flowers only once. When the flower fades, that rosette stops growing and slowly dries over months while its pups take over: that’s its cycle, not something you did wrong. When it has no green left, it goes back to the soil. Once a pup is half the size of the plant it came from and has its own little cup, cut it off with a clean knife where they join.
